What are the prizes for the talent show winners?
There are no financial awards for the winners of the Talent Show. There may be token awards provided, but that is not guaranteed. This is a fundraiser and as such, we want to use all available financial resources to help those in need of safe and secure housing. This is also a fun, community event. It is not a competition.
Are there any restrictions on the types of acts that can participate?
No pyrotechnics, fire or fireworks; no weapons; and no foul or offensive language. This is a community event and all material, costumes, props and music must be appropriate for all ages and members of the public.
Who are the judges? How are winners determined?
The selection for participation in the Talent Show will be the Talent Show Committee. It is anticipated that if there are prizes, it would be a Judges Choice and People’s Choice Award. A judges choice award would be no less than 3 judges. The People’s Choice winner will be determined by the number of votes cast by the audience. Ballots will be available for purchase, with all proceeds to benefit CCEH.
What if I don’t like the decision of the judges?
The decisions of the judges are final. This is a fun, community event whose purpose is to raise money to help those less fortunate.
What is provided in the performance space? Can I see it?
Sound equipment and engineering is provided. The Bank of New Hampshire Stage is available for viewing by appointment.
How do I apply to be in the talent competition?
There is an online application that you need to submit, along with a video of your performance, in order to be considered. The deadline to submit your application is midnight July 4th.
